I couldn't find a suitable perforated sheet. Can I order a custom product?

Unfortunately not because it will be too expensive. However, you can buy a smaller perforated tray (e.g. 40x30 cm fits almost all ovens) and place it on the existing rack when baking.

Is the wide side inserted into the side of the oven rails like a baking tray, or is this tray placed on the existing rack?

Like other baking trays, it is put into the oven or placed on the rails as normal. Please check the exact dimensions of the baking tray offered in advance. Also compare the dimensions with the original baking tray that came with the oven.
If the oven is wider than the tray, you can of course simply place it on the existing rack.

Can you use an aluminum sheet with confidence? I'm a bit afraid of aluminum, there are warnings about aluminum everywhere.

Perforated aluminum baking trays are widely used in professional bakeries, pastry shops, restaurants, hotels and other institutions. In private households, we also recommend using the silicone mat or baking paper to avoid direct contact with baked products. You can read more about this topic in our blog here .

Why does the baking tray warp during normal use?

Perforated sheets are made of aluminum and have fine perforations, so they may warp slightly when heated. It usually happens when either frozen products are baked on the trays or the baked product is too large. This causes the heat to be distributed unevenly, which often leads to the sheets bending. After cooling, the sheets return to their normal shape.

Can I use the baking tray for pretzel pastries?

Lye attacks aluminum, which is why we would not recommend an uncoated tray without baking paper for lye baked goods. But you can bake all other recipes with our trays and try a perforated tray with a non-stick coating or a silicone mat for pretzels.

Do I need baking paper or release agents?

To keep the baking tray clean for longer, we recommend using an extra thin Lehrmann silicone mat. Or even normal baking paper. Many bakers also use a release agent.

Can you put the perforated baking tray in the dishwasher to clean?

We would not recommend it because the sheet metal will then become discolored and dark. Unfortunately, it happens with all aluminum products.

How do I correctly measure my oven to buy suitable sheet metal?

When choosing the size, please note that it depends on the insertion dimensions for the baking trays, not the absolute internal dimensions of the stove. Many stoves have wire racks attached to the edge to guide the baking sheets, reducing the available space.

Please measure between the two guides and not on the oven wall. It's even easier if you can measure a baking tray that already fits. link

How much does it cost to ship my order?

We deliver your order free of charge within Germany, but there are additional flat-rate costs for shipping abroad. You can find further information about shipping conditions here .

When does my order arrive?

Unless another deadline is specified in the offer, your order will be delivered in Germany within 2 - 4 days, and for deliveries abroad within 5 - 7 days of your order.

If you have ordered several items with different delivery times, we will send your order in one shipment, unless we have made different agreements with you. In this case, the delivery time is determined by the item with the longest delivery time that you ordered.

Is express delivery possible?

As a standard case, we do not offer express delivery. In any case, you can always call or email us to find a shipping option that suits you.

What payment options are available at DeinBackshop?

You can pay conveniently and securely with your credit card, PayPal or instant bank transfer. In this case, we receive your payment immediately and can therefore process your order more quickly.

You are also welcome to transfer in advance. Please note that we can only start processing once we have received your payment. This can take approx. 2 - 5 working days depending on the credit institution.

If you would like to pick up your order from us in Hamburg, we would be particularly happy to meet you in person. We can arrange the pickup date with you by phone or email. You can also make payment when you pick it up.

What do I have to consider when paying in advance?

Your order will be shipped as soon as we receive your payment. Depending on the credit institution, it can take 2 - 5 working days.

When making the transfer, please always state your order number as the intended purpose.
